Riskex’s fit2work health assessment tool, which is aligned to Government and NHS guidance on Covid-19 symptoms, incorporates questions around how someone is feeling, their living situation, whether they have or have had any virus symptoms and if other health conditions exist. Concerns are flagged, and management can then take appropriate preventive action.
The tool’s built-in dashboard also provides intuitive reporting that can be analysed at an individual, departmental and global level to create a comprehensive picture of employees’ fitness to work, important as the UK emerges from lockdown.
Clece Care Services Ltd. (CCS), which is a group of domiciliary care and support companies with more than 4,000 care professionals across the UK, was one of Riskex’s first users of the fit2work tool.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, CCS’s carers have been ‘front-line heroes’, providing support to help safeguard elderly and vulnerable people in the community.
Marc Christian, Head of Quality, Safety, Health and Environment at CCS has been a long-term user of AssessNET, Riskex’s health and safety software solution. He said, “The Covid fit2work tool was quick and easy to implement as an additional tool to our systems to track real time updates of our staff.”
Assessing the health status and controlling any associated risk factors of a diverse and large employee population in real time is acutely challenging. Marc said, “Knowing who was fit to work on a daily basis has been vital to providing a safe service to our customers. It has also been important for our staff, as with concerns around symptoms and positive or negative testing, this tool has given people reassurance and confidence to go to work.”
Management of data and GDPR requirements are key news topics. Reassured that Riskex’s software is built with the highest levels of encryption for data security, and meets all GDPR requirements, Marc said, “Using the AssessNET suite can demonstrate our safety standards to the Care Quality Commission.”
Marc concluded, “At CCS, during this crisis we have been prouder than ever of the people behind the service. Our care workers are skilled professionals and using tools like AssessNET’s fit2work has helped to keep them working and keep everyone safe.”
